It's an unequal relationship, that of land and water. In time, land gives way.

Sometimes being strong, makes you soft. Other times, being malleable lets you carve your path

Just like in the gush of a rainfall, in the rush of life, the moments blend. Pause, and realise the beauty of each drop. Each moment, each drop, defines the whole.

Key Word

I was wandering through Edinburgh's streets when I spotted these intriguingly old keys through a store window. I tried to go in, but the owner said he'd closed for the day. Dismayed, I stayed by the window, marveling at their shapes and sizes. Soon, he stepped out to leave, and I asked him when he'd be open again. After being momentarily vague he asked me what I was interested in. I mentioned the keys. He was immediately thrilled and let me in, while leaving the closed sign on. I took my time picking archaically intricate keys while he regaled me with key stories.

I guess, I knew the 'key' word.

As a difficult year winds down, we spend Christmas eve embracing hygge. In the soft glow of snowflake lights, under the magic of our Christmas tree, we slowly sip hot cocoa from steaming mugs. For now, only this moment exists.

After a foggy, frosty walk by the river, we found ourselves lost in the musty smells of old books. The spell of bookstores is such, that the outside world disappears.

On November eighth, the US voted for hate to win. My heart has been in shreds since. But, on November eighth, as I tried to help love win, I passed by this picture perfection. As the days go by, I will try to remember that on that fateful day, I, at least, got to enjoy this. Momentarily.

Perched amidst the serenity afforded by a waterfront, soaking in the momentary calm. Soon, the bustle a bridge away will bring with it chaos and colour.

Sheltered under the class roof, the sounds of the bursting drops filled our senses.
Gazing up at the falling rain, we watched our world being washed anew.
